Christians of Saint Peter and Paul Catholic Sub-parish, Katale (in Wakiso district) last night (Thursday, June 22) held a networking dinner at Hotel Africana, during which they raised about sh50m towards the construction of their proposed sh2bn church.
The function was attended by the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank, Dr Louis Kasekende. The event was also graced by several business practitioners.

Emmanuel Cardinal Dr Wamala, who was the Guest of Honour at the function, commended the Christians of Katale Catholic Parish, for providing a net-working platform for the Church and the business community.
Dr Kasekende asked the Christian business practitioners to be ethical in their business dealings.
The Project Coordinator of Caritas, Richard Bugembe, asked business practitioners to work with the Church to promote development.
