“One thing I would like to highlight is, we will emphasise integrity and accountability."

KAMPALA - Bob Trubish's four years at the helm of the pool association promise to be big on accountability and integrity.

The Hot Pool supremo was declared winner after garnering 25 of the 53 votes Byensi Kakuru took 22 and Umar Mutaaya, the outgoing vice president, came third with a lowly six votes.

Trubish made it known to his delegates in his first speech as the association's top person that he will not tolerate unscrupulousness.

"One thing I would like to highlight is, we will emphasise integrity and accountability and as the chairperson of this association if any member of this committee doesn't stand to those values he will be asked to leave as per our procedure and constitution," he underlined.

The chairman mentioned this keeping in mind the pool association is trying to bring more sponsors on board, and companies can only form alliances with honest institutions.

Trubish has also set his sights on reviewing the constitution that led to a delay in electing of a new assembly.

"I believe it's time we reviewed our constitution, one of the challenges we have gone through in this process exposed that the constitution had certain loopholes that we need to look at."

He also urged the new executive to start work immediately. "The work starts now. We have gone through the politics, and the campaigns but we need to start work now."
