Mandela daughter here for charity

She will be in Uganda for about a week, in which she will also visit Jinja, Mandela National Stadium and Namugongo Martyrs’ Shrine in Wakiso district.

Zondwa Mandela, a daughter to former South African president Nelson Mandela, is in Uganda.

 

At the invitation of Uganda's envoy in the Nordik countries, Zaake Kibedi, Mandela says she will meet President Yoweri Museveni, and brief him on her plans to build a technical school in Jinja.

Also a South African envoy to Denmark, Mandela says she wants to promote youth employment through vocational training.

Mandela was speaking to journalists at Speke Resort Munyonyo in Kampala on her maiden media briefing since she came to Uganda.

She will be in Uganda for about a week, in which she will also visit Jinja, Mandela National stadium and Namugongo Martyrs' Shrine in Wakiso district.

Mandela is accompanied by Maj.Gen. Lekoa Solly Mollo, a retired military officer of the South African army.
