Over twenty vehicles have been impounded by the traffic police in the eastern district of Jinja and ten drivers arrested in connected to traffic related cases.

The operation was led by Jinja Police Station Inspector, Francis Onen.

“We have been checking vehicle documents, drivers’ documents, and condition of vehicles. Most of the vehicles have been found in a very bad mechanical condition. We have impounded them because they are not qualified to be on the roads,” Onen said.

Onen asked all the road users to adhere to traffic regulations warning the operation is ongoing.
