Maroons FC have a chance to top Elgon Group as the FUFA Big League resumes Thursday.

The former topflight side who host Kira United at Luzira are currently second on 18 points, one less than leaders Ndejje University who won't be in action.

Victory for the Prisons side will send them to 21 points, with a game in hand.

Kira are fifth with 14 points. They settled for a one-all draw at home against Paidha Black Angels while Maroons registered will be inspired by their 2-1 victory over Sporting United away in Lango in their last game.

Elsewhere, Artland face Bright Light in Kamuli while Simba entertain Sporting United.

In the Rwenzori Group, Nyamityobora take on Entebbe in Mbarara. The two sides are joint third on 15 points although Nyamityobora has better goal difference.

Masavu and Mbarara City, who won't be in action today, are first and second in the group with 20 and 17 points respectively.

At Masaka Recreation ground, Synergy play Sun City while Kireka United host Hope Doves at Namboole.
