Nov 19, 2016

His mother, Dorcus Nahabwe, a resident of Katwe in Kampala, says that Muhwezi was born a healthy baby, but he started falling sick at five months.

Joel Muhwezi was diagnosed with a hole on his heart and a leaking blood vessel at the Uganda Heart Institute Mulago.

His mother, Dorcus  Nahabwe,  a resident of  Katwe in Kampala, says that Muhwezi was born a healthy baby, but  he started falling sick at five months.  Currently, at one-year and 10 months, Muhwezi has just started crawling, but with a lot of difficulty.

He vomits blood, has a poor appetite and pus oozes out of his ears all the time.  He also cries a lot.

Nahabwe, a sit at home mother says, together with her husband, Innocent Twinomujuni, a boda boda rider, they could not raise the sh35m  needed for an operation in India.

A Good Samaritan has paid sh29.5m and the family is looking for the balance of sh6.5m.
