Museveni in Ethiopia for meeting on Libya

President Museveni headed straight to the AU Headquarters where he joined other Heads of State attending the AU High-Level Committee meeting on Libya.

 

President Yoweri Museveni on Tuesday arrived in the Ethiopian Capital Addis Ababa on a two-day working visit to the Africa Union commission to attend the African Union High Level Committee meeting on Libya.

The President was received at Bole International Airport by Ethiopia's Chief of Protocol Mesfin Mideksa, Uganda's minister of Defence Adolf Mwesige, minister of State for regional cooperation Philemon Mateke, Uganda's Ambassador to Ethiopia Mull Katende and Uganda's Military Attaché to Addis Brig. Sam Kiwanuka.

President Museveni headed straight to the AU Headquarters where he joined other Heads of State attending the AU High-Level Committee meeting on Libya.

The high level committee that comprises 8 AU member states which include Uganda, Sudan, South Africa, Egypt, Mauritania, Tunisia Chad and Republic of Congo is being held under the chairmanship of the President of Chad H.E Idriss Deby the current Chairman of AU.

The closed-door meeting is expected to discuss the current developments in Libya aimed at forming an all unity government in Tripoli.
