Uganda Christian University (UCU) beat the UCU Alumni in a warm-up game at the university grounds on Monday.

The game was to prepare UCU for their University League match against Uganda Martyrs' University due on Thursday.

Joshua Kirathe scored both UCU's goals while KCCA FC midfielder Paul Mucureezi netted the alumni's only goal.

UCU finished off the game in the first half when Kirathe looped the goal-keeper for the opener from a well delivered Jerome Luzinda pass before capitalizing on poor defending to double it up.

Ex-international and coach instructor Jackson Nyima was brought on after the interval before his side pulled one back from the spot after Kenneth Iguma was brought down in the area.

UCU sustained pressure for the rest of the game to all but see off the former university players.
