The high profile wedding took place at Savoy Hotel, one of London’s most expensive five-star hotels
It was all glamour, opulence, and more golden atmosphere in London last Saturday as Sheena Rupaleria, daughter to East Africa's richest man Dr. Sudhir Rupaleria tied the knot to her longtime lover, Jay Sakaria.
The high profile wedding took place at Savoy Hotel, one of London's most expensive five-star hotels and the couple later hosted their guests at the glamorous and prestigious Dorchester Hotel, London, one of the most iconic and luxurious hotels in the world.
The Dorchester which overlooks both Hyde Park and Mayfair in London was opened in 1931 and still retains its 1930s furnishings and ambiance. The hotel is patronised by international celebrities, world leaders, royalty and the stinking rich.
The hotel is renowned for its spacious, luxurious and elegant rooms, with each room featuring specially commissioned fabrics, antique furniture and exceedingly comfortable beds.
Over 250 distinguished guests from all over the world played witnesses as the couple made their wedding vows to stay by each other till death do them apart.
Just like first daughter Meera's wedding; Sheena's wedding will also have a Kampala version. Insiders estimate that the wedding which was fully funded by Sudhir cost the billionaire businessman up to sh5b.
