OMORO - The NRM's Catherine Lamwaka has been declared the winner of the Omoro Woman MP seat.
Lamwaka got 10,958 votes, beating her main rival FDC's Prossy Alanyo Owiny who got 3,948 votes.
Meanwhile, former Gulu vice chairman Douglas Peter Okello, an independent NRM-leaning candidate, was declared the winner of the hotly contested LC5 race.
Okello got 5,526 votes while Simon Tolit Akecha came close with 5,461 votes.
The Woman MP race attracted 10 contestants and LC5 race had five aspirants.
