URA terminates coach Mbabazi's contract

"The club board had various meetings with him but it seems he wasn't ready to change."

URA FC has terminated a three-year contact of their assistant coach Livingstone Mbabazi.

Mbabazi's exit follows gross misconduct and absenteeism from the team's trainings, matches and other official events on several occasions.

"The club board had various meetings with him but it seems he wasn't ready to change," said the club's CEO Edward Kulubya.

The assistant coach, who  had  appeared and written apologies to the club's board, with the latest being on August 8 this year, had  promised  to reform.

But after falling short on his promises and failing to change his ways, the inevitable eventually happened.

He joined URA in February this year, replacing Kefa Kisala who was elevated to head coach. During his time as assistant coach, the club won 20 league points from 13 matches (5 wins, 5 draws and 3 losses).
