Sejusa aides given 15-year jail term

KAMPALA - The General Court Martial on Monday sentenced Gen David Sejusa's aides to 15 years in prison over treason.

Earlier this month, the soldiers were convicted by the army court after being found guilty of committing offences related to plotting to overthrow the government.

The Makindye court had found the men guilty of aiding or abetting commission of offence for failing to report the unlawful acts to authorities.

The aides include: Lance Corporals Grace Nasasira Rwakyozi, Geoffrey Mwebaze Karuhanga, Frank Ninsiima, James Karuhanga Nayebare, Moses Nuwagaba Kakarugahi and Abel Twinamasiko.
