FUFA president Moses Magogo has announced that his administration will start regional women leagues effective next season as a plan to spread the game across the country.
While congratulating Kawempe Muslim School Women football team for retaining the FUFA Elite Women league title, he announced the plans for developing the sport.
Magogo said that after two seasons of successful FUFA Elite Women league, his administration considers it the right step to spread the competition beyond Kampala.
He said that FUFA will facilitate the participating clubs across the country with equipment and finances to run their activities.
FUFA also plans to introduce licensing as a way to avoid clubs clashing for players as the game takes root in Uganda.
