Cranes player Khalid Aucho wins Kenya's May award

The former Tusker player of recent has been linked to join Scottish Premier League side Rangers.
Uganda Cranes and Gor Mahia midfielder Khalid Aucho has scooped SportPesa/ Sports Journalists Association of Kenya (SJAK) player of the month of May award.
Aucho who received the award at the club's training ground in Kenya after gathering 17 votes, two above his fellow teammate Eric 'Marcelo' Ouma and Ulinzi Stars forward John Mark Makwatta . Sony Sugar's player Frederick 'Uche' Onyango came fourth with 13 votes.
Aucho steered K'Ogalo (Gor Mahia) to four victories last month where he scored a goal and made three assists. However three of the teams points were docked as a punishment for fans violence during their game against AFC Leopards. Their rivals AFC Leopards were also deducted points.
For his performance, Aucho walked away with Ksh100,000 (sh3.3m), a 43-inch LG Television set and a trophy.
He was also on target recently as Uganda Cranes defeated Botswana 2-1 away in the AFCON Qualifiers.
