Police in Dokolo district is searching for unidentified taxi operators who robbed over sh2m from a cattle dealer.

According to sources at Dokolo police station, Richard Odur, 36, was left unconscious after he was attacked in a passenger carrier Ipsum travelling to Amolatar from Lira.

The case has been recorded under CRB number 497/2016.

Odur said he boarded the white car whose registration number he did not master after having drawn sh2.7m from his Finance Trust Bank account in Lira on Tuesday morning.

"While we travelled, I felt sleepy and upon waking up I found myself in a swamp near Aminkec a few kilometers to Dokolo town council at around 1pm" he said.

Corporal Martin Opalet, the deputy officer in charge crime prevention said they are making all possible attempts to establish the whereabouts of the suspects who are to be arrested.

The victim is a resident of Abino village, Acwii parish, Namasale Sub County in Amolatar district.
