Arthur Blick Jr. is excited by the extra sponsorship boost by Mountains of the Moon Hotel ahead of the Mountains of the Moon rally next month in Fort Portal.

Blick, the 2015 national rally champion told New Vision that defending the title requires better preparations and the hotel's support came at an opportune time.

"We have to be 100 percent ready to compete with those powerful Evo Xs and having the hotel's boost is good for us," the driver stated.

On Tuesday William Byaruhanga the managing director of Mountains of the Moon Hotel after committing sh10m to the rally which is the fourth round of NRC, announced that his hotel will also sponsor Blick.

Blick navigated by Unisan Bakunda is fourth on the NRC standings and is confident that the title is still open and is he will be out to defend it.

"We are just lagging behind because we dropped out in Mbarara due to broken suspension but we are focused on defending our title," the 2015 Nile Special USPA rally driver of the year added.

Autocross and 4x4 on Sunday

Meanwhile Fred Busulwa will on Sunday face off against challengers Sabiiti Muyanja and Ali Omar Yasser in the Jomayi Estate Autocross championship in Mbalala, Mukono district.

The event that is the second on the calendar will have its proceeds go to purchasing desks for Mwananjiri Primary School in Mbalala.
