Dolphins off for KSF swimming championship

A second batch of swimmers left on Wednesday for the annual championships that attracts swimmers aged 11 years and below.

Dolphins Swim Club are headed to Nairobi for the annual Kenya Swimming Federation (KSF) Junior Age Group Swimming Championships due May 13-15.

The Dolphins has won the championship for the last five consecutive times with many of their swimmers also enjoying individual glory. Riham sponsors the team to the championship annually and this year offered them sh8.5m as facilitation to the championship.

The Dolphins will parade the likes of Kirabo Namutebi, Pendo Kaumi, Karima Katemba, Darren Zaabu, siblings Michelle Sine and Raphael Sine at the three-day event.

New Signing Abba Mayanja, Haile Tunga, Jordan Samura are some of the other swimmers on the squad of about 50 swimmers.

Dolphins coaches hope to use the championship not only to expose their swimmers to foreign competition but also to ensure they better their time and also set new records at the meet.
