Residents of Bwendero village, Bujumba sub-county in Kalangala District have cried out to Uganda Wildlife Authority officials over a killer croc they say is ravaging them.
This comes after a one John Ssebuyira, 57, got devoured by the kiiler croc when he went to the lake shores to do his laundry and fish.
the LC 5 boss, Willy Lugoloobi, has demanded that the Authority permits a brave resident, Peter Lusembo, who was hailed a hero for trapping killer animals.
UWA officials last month arrested Lusembo after he slayed hippos that posed a danger to people on the same island.
"Since his apprehension the number of people killed by these animals has increased in two weeks," Lugoloobi noted.
Residents are mad that UWA officials are more concerned about the well being of animals than theirs.
They also accuse police of doing nothing about numerous reports of animals attacking resident.
