Sporting United closed the gap in the Elgon Group against table leaders Onduparaka FC in the FUFA Big League with a 2-0 against Boma Young.
United move to 32 points, six below leaders Onduparaka. Onduparaka was not in action over the weekend. Boma Young remain in the seventh position with 17 points.

The FUFA Junior League came into existence after a rule requiring each and every club in the Azam Uganda Premier League to field a junior team.
The 16 youth teams attached to the Azam Uganda Premier League sides are divided into two groups (Hat-trick and Treble) of which each group has eight teams.
