Lukyamuzi discharged from hospital

Lubaga South MP John Ken Lukyamuzi was discharged Sunday from Lubaga hospital where he had been bedridden for three days, undergoing medical treatment.

According to former Lubaga South MP, also Lukyamuzi's daughter, Suzan Nampijja, medical doctors said Lukyamuzi who doubles as the Conservative Party (CP) Presidential General was battling severe chest pain, malaria, pneumonia and cough.

"He was discharged Sunday morning from Lubaga hospital following doctors advice that he was improving and responding to treatment. However he is expected for review Monday at Rubaga hospital," Nampijja added.

Lukyamuzi's wife Mary Gonzaga said he fell ill last Thursday while addressing a political  rally at Nateete playground. Half way the rally he was rushed to Lubaga hospital," said Gonzaga.  

When Lukyamuzi flouted the law in relation to declaration of wealth and was forced out of Parliament in 2005, he fielded his daughter Susan Nampijja.

She won the elections and was "care-taker MP" for five years from 2006 to 2011. From 2011 to date, Lukyamuzi bounced back to parliament.

Lukyamuzi is in the hot race for the 2016 Lubaga South seat with Faridah Mayanja (NRM), Kato Lubwama (independent),  Charles Male (independent) Francis Xavier Katabalwa (DP) among others.
