Club manager Ahmed Kabuye said their preparations begin in earnest today for tomorrow’s Uganda Cup semi-final against Victoria University.

The champions host holders Victoria University in the first leg of the knock-out competition at Lugogo. The second leg will be just two days later on Sunday at Namboole.

The other semi-final has URA taking on Jinja Municipal on the same days. Kabuye, a key figure in KCCA’s championship run, said they won’t rest until they get the double. “That’s one of those accolades that we have always wanted.

That’s exactly why we have to remain focused,” stressed the soft spoken manager. SC Villa and Express is the only Ugandan clubs to have won the double.

The Jogoos have won a record six doubles. But as Coach George Nsimbe’s (bottom) KCCA attempt to scale new heights, they will be up against a side determined to prove a point against the Lugogo team
