IT is all celebration at Lugogo after KCCA winning a tenth Fufa Super League title.

The club’s fans are jubilating after KCCA beating arch-rivals SC Villa 3-1 to edge Victoria University to the title.

Steven Bengo, Ronnie Kisekka and William Wadri scored a goal each as KCCA outwitted the Jogoos to retain local sport’s biggest silverware. Villa’s consolation came off a Hakim Senkumba own goal in injury time.

The Yellows edged Victoria University by a point in one of the competition’s closest finishes. Morley Byekwaso’s side beat Bright Stars by a lone goal to finish at 59 points.

Bengo who has been injured for most of the season showed cool nerves giving the hosts a 20 minute lead.

The stocky striker beat the defence to place the ball past goalkeeper John Kalumba to the far corner of the net. Kisekka then nodded KCCA further into the lead shortly before recess.

Wadri made it 3-0 in the 90th minute before over confidence on the hosts’ part had Villa taking advantage to pull one back.

Captain Fahad Kawooya received the trophy from FUFA president Moses Magogo. With the results still uncertain, the trophy was first kept at City Oil, Nakawa ready to be moved to either Lugogo or Namboole where the title deciders were.

Meanwhile the Masaka versus Police that didn’t end earlier in the season will have its remaining 26 minutes played on Friday.
