Relatives torch 86-yr-old man over witchcraft

A 86 year old man in Kabale district has been burnt to death by his relatives for allegedly practicing witchcraft.

Hillary Kashija of Rutoma, Hamurwa Sub County was condemned to death by his relatives following the death of his grandson in a motor cycle accident in Kabale town early this week.

The relatives accuse Kashija of having on several occasions threatened to do away with his grandson Maliyusi Arinaitwe.

The Kigezi region police spokesperson Elly Maate says they are yet to make any arrests in the mob action but investigations into the matter continue.
