KCCA FC coach Abdullah Mubiru will not be rushed into making conclusions about his side winning the league because he believes it is still early to determine who will take it.

Mubiru made the remarks after KCCA FC beat BUL 3-0 in the Uganda Premier League at Phillip Omondi Stadium, Lugogo Tuesday evening.

The win which was Mubiru’s first since taking over from George Nsimbe who left for Tanzanian giants Azam, pushed the defending champions to second place, two points behind Vipers who have a game in hand.

“The league is a marathon so I don’t want to be judged at the moment because it’s still too early. Our major goal at the moment is to win every game without thinking much about the trophy,” said Mubiru, who replaced Nsimbe last week. Hakim Ssenkumba, Brian Majwega and Derrick Nsibambi each had a goal for the yellow lads who registered their 7th league win in 11 matches.

Rwenshama claims URA scalp

At Mityana, Rwenshama registered their first win of the season shocking former champions URA 3-2.

A Julius Malingumu brace, his second in two games and another strike by Geoffrey Ssimbwa ensured Rwenshama, who recently lost their coach Shafiq Bisaso, emerged top. Frank Kalanda and an Emmanuel Ngama penalty is all URA could muster to remain 6th on the table.

In other games Police were 2-1 winners over Express in Kavumba while Kira Young and Soana drew 1-1.
