Health practitioners meet to review performance

Health practitioners are meeting in Kampala to review the performance of the health sector.

The ministry of Health, concerned stakeholders and the development partners Monday commenced the 19th joint review mission taking place at Speke Resort Munyonyo an upscale Kampala suburb.

The meeting under the theme: “Working to attain a good standard of health for all people in Uganda in order to promote a healthy and productive life.”

Reviewing the sector performance against the targets, action and indicators set out in the last financial year and the health sector strategic investment plan are top on the agenda.

Priority areas for intervention in the sector under the health sector strategic investment plan are; health promotion, prevention, control of non-communicable diseases; and maternal and child health.
