Time for FDC to replace Kizza Besigye

Jan 15, 2010

IN 2001, the FDC party voted for Dr Kizza Besigye and did the same in 2006. His term in office has ended if he claims to be so democratic because he has been given enough chances. He has shown Ugandans that his only objective is to oust his most dreaded rival, Yoweri Museveni.

The opposition should play a cleaner match. As much as we blame the NRM for undemocratic tendencies, we love to see democracy in all opposition parties. If Besigye cannot stand down, I hope FDC members will see sense in electing a different candidate to lead our party.
