Condom ‘O’ campaign ends

Last Saturday evening, Denis Ssenyonga went for a drink-up at his favourite bar, Blue Haze in Nakasero. Out of excitement, he had bought five packs of ‘O’ condoms to enter a draw.

Last Saturday evening, Denis Ssenyonga went for a drink-up at his favourite bar, Blue Haze in Nakasero. Out of excitement, he had bought five packs of ‘O’ condoms to enter a draw.

When it was prize-giving time, Ssenyonga could not believe that he was the biggest winner of the night, walking off with a home theatre system worth sh1m.

This was at the grand finale of the ‘O’ condom awareness campaign. The four-month campaign covered Kampala, Jinja, Mbale, Arua, among other towns, aimed at promoting condom use. The campaign, spearheaded by the Uganda Health Marketing Group.

Apart from Ssenyonga, other lucky condom users won themselves mobile phones, flash discs, T-shirts and packs of condoms. Raba Daba and new dancehall artiste Empress provided the night’s entertainment.
