CHRISTIANS in Mukono Diocese will tomorrow witness Bishop Eria Paul Luzinda hand over the office which he assumed eight years ago to yet another bishop James Ssebaggala.
Bishop Luzinda hands over the office at a colorful concentration ceremony that will be presided over by the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda Henry Luke Orombi.
President Yoweri Museveni is also expected to attend.
Luzinda was appointed bishop in 2002 by the House of Bishops. The bishop will be remembered for the courage and zeal to talk his mind without mincing words.
During the burial of the former state minister for agricultural Kibirige Sebunya in Mukono in 2008 the bishop rapped corrupt politicians in presence of President Museveni.
After the burial, some politicians went to radio stations and attacked him, saying he was also not clean.
The remarks annoyed people like Joseph Luzige one of the legal assistants to President Museveni, who said if he entered a supermarket and found Bishop Luzinda, inside he would just walk out.
