THE New Vision web-editor Vincent Mugaba was on Monday recognised for the innovative use of information and communication technology, at the annual Highway Africa Conference in Grahamstown.
Mugaba’s recognition comes as a result of the website www.nandiphotos.com which he built to portray ordinary Ugandans through his photographs.
He was among the nine finalists in the Highway of the Africa awards for innovative use of ICT in Africa. More than 40 websites were nominated for the award.
Mugaba said it was the first time his work had received such recognition.
