Team leaves for Tour de Egypt
CYCLING - Newly-elected Uganda Cycling Association chairman Sam Muwonge Mahabba has led a team of three cyclists and three officials to represent the country in the 44th edition of Tour De Egypt that started on Wednesday. The five-day event ends on Monday. The 700km race will see riders from across the continent compete in six stages.The team has Sebastian Kigongo, David Magezi and George William Kisenyi.

UOC plans for Former stars

OLYMPICS - The Uganda Olympic Committee (UOC) will involve Olympians and former athletes in daily activities aimed at developing sports in the country.
While addressing the press about the Leo Rwabogo memorial service yesterday, UOC boss Roger Ddungu said the past stars have a big role to play in sports development. Parliament speaker Edward Ssekandi is expected to be the chief guest at the service on Saturday.

Vision Group trounces MUST

SOCCER - Vision Group went on rampage as the Mbarara corporate league resumed on Sunday with six teams taking part. The group overwhelmingly beat Mbarara University of Science and Technology 6-0 before trouncing Police 4-1 and climbing to second position on the table. Coca Cola and uganda telecom failed to show up although they had confirmed participation.
