Gloria Namulindwa, 17, of St. Joseph’s Naggalama, attributes her success to the Rosary.
Namulindwa, 17, scored aggregate 9 in last year’s O’level exams. “Although I was performing well, I did not expect to get such good grades,†she said.
“The exams were conducted during the month of the Rosary. I used to pray to Mother Mary for help and I would say a novena (series of prayers) to St. Jude.†Namulindwa is the daughter of Proscovia Nkakawombe, a teacher in Kireka, a city surburb.
She is undecided over whether she should persue civil engineering or accounting at university.
Namulindwa’s grandmother, Margaret Namusoke, was overjoyed. “We shouted and everyone in the neighbourhood was wondering what had happened,†she said.
