THE She Cranes had mixed results yesterday thrashing Lesotho by a massive 37 goal difference and lost to Malawi 46-52.

The Ugandans first collapsed to Malawi but recovered with a supercharged performance that had Lesotho chasing shadows at Uhuru International Stadium in the Tanzanian commercial hub Dar es Salaam.

Efforts of Hadija Nakabuye and goal attacker Annet Nakiwu were again at hand as the She Cranes went into recess leading 32-12.

Peace Proscovia, who substituted Nakiwu in the second half, kept the act going contributing 28 goals as the Cranes revenged the Malawi loss with the 60-23 victory against Lesotho.

In the other day’s action South Africa and Namibia battled to a 36-36 draw in a thrilling match while hosts Tanzania lost to Namibia 40-45.

Malawi, ranked sixth in the world, has already booked a berth in the semifinals after winning all their four games in the round-robin event.

Action continues today with Uganda playing South Africa that has another game against Zambia. Tanzania faces Namibia.
The semifinals are due tomorrow.
