Aya Group of Companies on Wednesday donated 300 packets of biscuits to disabled children under the Salvation Army, a Christian charity in Wandegeya. “These children will be assets in the future,” said Raouf Dannaoui, the AYA Biscuits general manager. Rose Ndeke commended AYA for the support. The charity looks after children with physical disabilities and hearing impairments.

Kayihura orders probe

The Police chief, Maj. Gen. Kale Kayihura, has ordered the Criminal Investigations Department to investigate how a salon car got burnt at a Total fuel station in Nsambya on Tuesday. The pump attendant, Isaac Nahumuza, said the fire started from the engine when he started refilling the vehicle. A team of detectives from Katwe Police Station on Wednesday recorded statements from witnesses.
