PEOPLE in Kumi and Bukedea can hope for better education after the International Care and Relief (ICR) revealed that it had earmarked sh500m for the construction of primary schools, reports Bill Oketch.

IRC is a charity that works with the Government to implement the Universal Primary Education scheme.

Barasa Chaungo, the country director, said sh900m had been used to build six primary schools in Kumi district.

Chaungo explained: “In every school we build a two-classroom block, two five-stance pit-latrines and offer 150 desks.”
He made the remarks at Omaditok Primary School, Ngora, Kumi on Monday.
