SIR — The water problem seems to be worsening by the day.
I would like to advise the government, the ministry of water and Environment and the national water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) to sink boreholes in urban areas especially kampala so as to check the escalating problem.
Much of the shortage is caused by burst pipes and the inefficiency of workers.
Boreholes will reduce the demand on piped water and ensure that people get clean water since borehole water cannot easily be contaminated. Above all, the arrangement would bail out low income earners by ensuring they have clean water.
