UGANDAN top badminton icon Edwin Ekiring settled for a bronze medal, after losing to continental top seed Lasman Nabir at the semi-finals of the Africa senior championships.
Norman Katende reports that the week-long championship concluded on Sunday in the Indian Ocean island nation Mauritius.
The Ugandan lost in straight sets 21-17, 21-14 to the Algerian, who was eventually crowned Africa’s king after beating continental second seed- Zambian Elli Mambwe – in straight sets in the final.
