THE referees body has warned that members who fail to declare which Super League clubs they sympathise with will miss out on appointments.
The warning follows a growing practice where the whistlers have continued to turn down appointments to officiate matches involving SC Villa, Kampala City Council and Express.
But the referees who have shunned appointments are reluctant to openly declare their support for any clubs.
“They have continued to turn down appointments, claiming they are not impartial but they are also shying away from declaring clubs they support, although it happens world-wide and we need to know from them officially,” referees’ committee secretary Kakooza Mutagubya said yesterday.
