By Wilfred Sanya CENTRAL Kampala Lions Club has donated materials worth sh3.5m to the Katalemwa Cheshire home in Wakiso district for the physically handicapped. Club president victoria Sempa presided over the hand-over of 40 mattresses, 40 pillows and 40 blankets to the acting director of the home, Sergio Mainetti, on Saturday. “The Lions club is not for the rich as some people have always portrayed. The club’s duty is to serve to improve the quality of life in the community. These items will strengthen the living conditions of these children,†she said. Sempa was accompanied by club members, who toured the home with about 60 children. Ends
