LAST weekend’s Rugby Cranes vs. Morocco match was coach Chester Williams’ last for the Cranes.

The South African coach, whom most sports analysts agree has tremendously improved our Rugby Cranes, was supposed to be here for six months with his contract due to end in December.

Williams (above) is away on holiday. However, we have it on good authority that he will not return to Rugby Cranes after all. Apparently, he scooped a job to coach the Atlantic Pumas and was planning to quit Cranes.

However, he will travel to Ivory Coast to see the Rugby Cranes take on Ivory Coast. With the post-loss blues and now loss of a great coach, it is understandable if there is a bout of low morale in the team.

So, Friends of Rugby led by Jerry Burley, Peter Bowser and Charlie Case are organising the rugby team to a drink and a bite at Just Kicking pub in Kisementi from at 7:30pm.
