I’m enjoying abstinence, thanks to Maama Janet

The good work being done by the First Lady, Mama Janet Kataha Museveni and Pastor Martin Ssempa reminds me of the saying that “you will never walk alone”.

As we walk a walk that is being hindered by many, we still have people with a vision who have been helping to play the tune for us to do the dancing.
Every one knows that abstinence remains the only effective prevention against HIV/AIDS but they decide to ignore it!

We now understand why Jesus, the most innocent man ever, could be crucified without any reason. He just held on because he knew that he was being crucified for the sinners and they have recognised it and are turning back to Him.

Why should you attack the cassava roots when they are just the size of a straw. You know that in just three months they will be of the desired size or eating.

A saying goes that there is no need of dancing yourself lame when the main dance is about to come.

Just like a building with a pillar, here we are.
Pastor Ssempa has dedicated all that is his to save a generation that is running out of hand. We have Mama Janet too who has continued to spread the message that good things come tho those who wait.

There is no need of romancing death with a condom, for a dragon remains a dragon whether or not it is smiling at you. You cannot give a smile back at a dragon.

There is no need of distributing condoms to the youth since condoms are birth control methods. What should be distributed is messages calling for vows among the youth. Mama Janet and Pastor Martin are what we characterise as “people with a vision.” for their outstanding work against evil.

We know that there are other people with a vision out there but they just need re-ignition. However, if they remain reluctant we may end up moving with the ones who are already on the journey and might be compelled to play the tune ourselves and dance to it at the same time.

Research has it that parents and other contextual factors such as religion are very influential in shaping adolescents’ attitudes.

Therefore, support from such individuals will be more likely to shape attitude that is favourable to sexual abstinence among the adolescents. There is a need for a free world.
