A-TEN-year-old boy is seeking $13,700 (about sh25m) for a heart surgery in India. Kenneth Ninsiima, a primary four pupil at Kantozi Primary School in Kamwenge district, has a heart defect, which has led to the swelling of his stomach and feet.

His mother, Lydia Kyalisiima, on Saturday said he got the infection in June.

“He was a happy child; he could run up and down until then. The stomach has protruded and they say it is full of water. Yesterday they removed about two litres,” Kyalisiima said.

A statement from the deputy director of the Uganda Heart Institute, Dr. John Omagino, said Ninsiima needs a heart surgery.

Any assistance can be deposited on the Uganda Heart Foundation Account (Ninsiima Kenneth) on Account no. 1775930 Barclays bank, main branch, Kampala.
