SIR— The other day I saw an anti-DDT demonstration on TV
led by Rubaga South MP, Ken Lukyamuzi, who carried a placard, “EVEN IDI AMIN HATED DDT.†Among the demonstrators was Mr Oweyegha Afunaduula, a lecturer in environmental studies at Makerere. He should be explaining the scientific facts about DDT instead of politicking.
