Rugumayo made right decision
SIR — I am happy Prof. Edward Rugumayo has declined President Museveni’s appointment. Rugumayo is 70 years old and he should be coming home and not going away.

He will live a happier and more fulfiling life at home than abroad. It is so refreshing to see a Ugandan politician who is principled and not hungry for kisanja. He’s a good example to politicians who want to die in office. Besides, he has saved himself the headache of heading a foreign mission.
Our embassies have a chronic image of being derelict and broke! He is much better off staying at home.
