SHE said the doctor sedated her with chloroform and removed her uterus without her consent.
Fatuma Namalwa (below), who is suing Mengo Hospital for infertility, told court presided over by Justice Okumu Wengi that another doctor told her that Dr. Mugalula had removed her uterus.
An emotional Namalwa, 23, said Mugalula damaged her uterus during a caesarian section, after delivery on August 2, 2004.
“My intestines came out six days after I delivered. They were rotten and I was passing out pus instead of urine. Dr. Mugalula told me it was a simple matter and I would get two stitches and discharged,” she said.
