THE new Mbarara resident district commissioner (RDC), Clement Kandole, has said the Movement Government is to lead for many more years.
“The Movement is the longest-serving government in Uganda’s history. The second longest ruled for only eight years. We are still leading and shall celebrate more NRM anniversaries ,†he said.
Kandole said the 1995 Constitution says the power belongs to the people. “If the people want the third term, definitely we shall have it,†he said.
He was on Monday speaking at the 18th NRM anniversary at Kakyeka Stadium.
District vice-chairperson Emma Boona said Mbarara performed three times better in the 2003 primary school exams.
