Lango and Acholi MPs have denied there were differences between them.

Members of Parliament from Lango, Acholi and Teso on Wednesday held a meeting to discuss how they could end the northern war.

Acholi MPs recently blamed lango MPs for the chaos in Lira in which five people were killed.

The meeting, held at the Parliamentary building, was chaired by Nwoya MP, Zachary Olum.

It was meant to discuss strategies through which the MPs could work with the Government to end the 17 year long war.

During the meeting, the MPs agreed that the local people should be involved in the fight against rebel activities in their respective areas.

“MPs have played a key role in the past when working with the Government to resolve conflicts.

When their activities are well co-ordinated, a lot is usually achieved,” an MP who attended the meeting said.
