Kiyonga appeals for peace in Kibale

By vision Reporter THE National Political Commissar, Dr. Crispus Kiyonga, has appealed to the residents of Kibaale district to ensure that peace and unity are maintained.A release issued to The New Vision said Kiyonga made the appeal while meeting the candidates vying for the district chairmanship on Thursday.The meeting was also attended by ministers Ruhakana Rugunda, Amama Mbabazi, Baguma Isoke, Bengina Mukiibi and other district representatives.Kiyonga said the government was aware of the key problems in Kibaale relating to land and settlement of Ugandans from other parts of the country.The release said the government was taking steps to ensure that the land act is implemented. Kiyonga warned against inciting violence.
