By Yunusu Abbey THE Police is investigating the death of Nina Calnan, who was found dead in her Bugonga house in Entebbe at the weekend. Nina, 50, wife to Capt. Jack Calnan, a former Uganda Airlines pilot, is suspected to have been murdered by unknown assailants. Sources said Nina, who stayed alone, was found dead some days after her murder. “It appears the assailants stabbed her because she had several cuts on the neck and other parts of the body,” a family source said. The grief-stricken Capt. Calnan, who spoke from his Mbuya residence yesterday, said, “Up to now, we don’t know what exactly happened or the motive of the murder.” Calnan flew back home from South Africa yesterday and joined the family at Mbuya where mourners had gathered.
