Bugimbi wed Margaret Nandagi Katumba at a colourful ceremony presided over by Bishop Samuel Balagadde Ssekkadde of Namirembe Diocese. Shouts of joy echoed in the spacious building as they were declared husband and wife at 12:00 noon.

Retired Mityana Bishop Wilson Mutebi was Bugimbi’s bestman. Luweero Bishop Evans Mukasa, Rtd bishops Michael Ssenyimba and Yohana Mukasa were also present.

Prime Minister Prof. Apolo Nsibambi, who was among the guests at the church, urged the couple to respect each other and be caring.
Bugimbi was introduced to the family of Nandagi last month.
He lost his first wife Victoria to cancer two years ago. He retired as bishop of Luweero in 1996.
