Standards up

NAKAWA— The Government of Uganda is doing its best to raise the standards of vocational training institutions, according to Betty Akech, State Minister for Higher Education.“We are going to put in place policies that will provide a good working environment. Resources to run these institutions will also be provided,” Akech said.Akech was speaking at a farewell luncheon for Hiroshi Sakamoto, the outgoing Chief Technical Advisor of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), held at Nakawa Vocational Training Institute.Ends
